Casper Essential
The Essential mattress is the most affordable of all Casper mattresses. The queen size is only €199, which is less than the Casper Wave and main Casper mattress.
It stands 22 cm tall and is the smallest in Caspers’ collection. The Casper Wave is 29 cm in height, while the Casper Wave is 25 cm thick. Don’t expect a luxurious hotel-like experience when you sleep.
Many early reviews have been positive. Customers love the coolness, comfort and support of the mattress.
Design And Construction
The Casper Essential features three foam layers: a cooling layer; a support/comfort level and a foundation layer.

This layer is used primarily for cooling. It is made up of an open-cell structure which allows air and moisture to escape from the mattress.
This ensures that the mattress remains cool throughout the night and keeps it fresh. Foam mattresses do not have that stale, musty smell.

Side sleepers, who are susceptible to pressure points around their hips and shoulders, will benefit from contouring.
The memory foam is great for supporting your back and keeping your spine aligned. This helps to prevent lower back pain, neck pain, and other issues caused by poor mattress support.

The Essential mattress’ foundation is a thick slice of extra-firm foam. It provides support and compression, particularly for heavier sleepers.
The entire mattress is covered by a soft, breathable knit top. For fire safety, there is an OEKOTEX certified fire sock.
Comfort And Firmness
The Essential is a medium-firm bed. Casper created it to meet the needs of most people. It is neither too firm which could reduce comfort nor too soft which could compromise support.
It is ideal for side, stomach and back sleepers. However, I would not recommend it to anyone with a heavier body.
This mattress is much thinner than most online mattresses.
Two comfort layers might not be sufficient to prevent sinkage. The mattress may feel too firm if you are over 82kg.
